Statistics: 1.     8.6 million people (24 percent of the analysed population) in parts of Balochistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan are facing high levels of acute food insecurity between March to June 2024 with 1.6 million people in IPC Phase 4 (Emergency) and 7 million people in IPC Phase 3 (Crisis). Of the 47 rural districts analysed, 20 have between 30 and 45 percent of their populations in IPC Phase 3 or above (Crisis or worse). SDG 1 in Pakistan: A Closer Look at Poverty Alleviation Efforts

 SDG 1 (No Poverty) in Pakistan: Pakistan has made progress towards achieving SDG 1 , but still faces significant challenges. Here are some key statistics and initiatives: Statistics : 1. Poverty headcount ratio : 40% of the population lives below the poverty line (2024) 2. Extreme poverty : 40% of the population lives on less than $2.15/day (2024) Initiatives: The Social Safety Programmes (SSNP) in Pakistan like Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Social Security & Welfare, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Employees Old-age Benefit Institution (EOBI) , and Workers Welfare Fund ( WWF) were always there but never gained any momentum.Now some new programs started such as 1.
